Ollivanders

Ollivanders is where many young witches and wizards go to buy their first wand, making it one of the most important stops on the way to Hogwarts. The shop is located in Diagon Alley and its owner Mr. Ollivander is always on hand to help customers with their purchases. He's considered one of the finest wandmakers in the world and his family has been making wands since 382 BC – so, quite a while!

With its dusty window display of a wand on a faded purple cushion, the shabby shop may not look impressive at first glance. The shelves inside, however, are stacked full of thousands of narrow boxes, each containing a wand awaiting its owner. Whether your wand is maple or spruce, unicorn hair or dragon heartstring, you'll be able to find it at Ollivanders. Or, perhaps we should say: at Ollivanders, your wand will find you!
