Hedwig is a snowy owl, gifted to Harry by Hagrid for his birthday, bought from Eeylops Owl Emporium. Hedwig instantly becomes a huge part of Harry's life, delivering and fetching his letters, but also becoming just as much a companion as Harry's human friends. And she has a bit of a sassy side too!
Fun Fact
Hedwig is named after someone Harry reads about in his textbook, A History of Magic.
